Conversation Series (8) – Tom Baker – PhD Candidate and Former Phoenix Police Officer

Tom will be the very first stranger to appear as a guest on the show. “As a cop, I killed someone. Then I found out it happens more often than we know.”  This article is what inspired me to reach out to Tom.

We will discuss how we met and decided to collaborate. Within that conversation we will discuss Tom’s experience on the force, his reasons for leaving, the nature of his current research, his preliminary findings, and barriers he has encountered in data collection of police killings statistics.
