Conversation Series 122 – Bruce Whealton

Bruce is a racialized white man and mental health professional who joined the Racism Discussion Group and sought out a conversation about racial trauma. He has also been in relationships with women of color, and he has reflections on those experiences he wants to discuss. My intention is to create safe spaces for people to explore those topics together with me. Luckily, Bruce attended one of my live events where we had a public conversation on race with a black owned caterer and a black owned winery inside a black owned barbershop. Bruce felt comfortable enough after attending that event to attend some virtual discussions on race. This ultimately led to our 2-hour one-on-one live discussion happening now. I’m eager to open the door to anyone who earnestly wants to investigate these issues and gain a deeper understanding of race/racism. I hope to see you in the chat during this one.
