Conversation Series: Alex Polyak – Immigrant Perspectives on Race

Alex is the son of refugee parents from the Soviet Union. I will be speaking with him about how the impact a significant amount of diversity he experienced in his early years, including having a best friend who was African American, influenced his later observations and perceptions on race. We will also discuss a wide range of experiences that Alex has had and observations he has made that have informed his thoughts on race.
