Article Read Aloud and Discussion – “Virtuous Lies and Black Despair”

Please join me for this special event! Recently, the Australian-based online magazine Quillette released an article written by Julian Adorney and Jake (Jacob) Mackey titled “Virtuous Lies and Black Despair.” I ran into the article shortly after its release via X (formerly Twitter), and I was immediately struck by the fact that two racialized white men authored a piece about black despair. It all made sense after reading the content, however. I won’t spoil the discussion for you. Rather, I’d like to invite you to a live read aloud and discussion of the article on my livestream.
